•   Age

    Please note that Young/Senior Driver fees will only be displayed correctly if you entered your age correctly in the search criteria. Minimum driver age for the vehicle that you selected is 21.Maximum driver age for the vehicle that you selected is 80.A Young/Senior Driver Fee of €10 per day applies to drivers aged 21-24.A Young/Senior Driver Fee of €10 per day applies to drivers aged 71-80.Additional driver cost (25-70)eur 3 daily.

  •   Drivers License

    You and all Additional Drivers must present a full valid original Driver’s License and the voucher or booking confirmation document when picking up the vehicle. If your Driver’s License has multiple parts, you must present all of them. You must have held your Driver’s License for a minimum of 1 full year(s).An International Driving Permit is required in addition to a National Driver’s License if your National Driver’s License is not a European Driver’s License or not written with Latin letters.You might have to also present:Passport +Identification card of your country of residence. You must present a credit card when picking up your rental vehicle.Please note that it is your responsibility to make sure that you have all the necessary documentation, that your Driver’s License is valid in your intended rental country and for your intended type of rental vehicle, and that you have the correct immigration documents.

  •   Gas

    If the vehicle is returned with less fuel in the tank than indicated in the Rental Document, you will have to pay for the missing fuel upon returning the vehicle.The Refueling Fee is €20 minimum for a car Quarter tank .

  •   Geographic

    Vehicles cannot be taken outside the island of Crete without a written authorization of CarGreece.com.

  •   Insurance

    This is not an insurance policy.- L.W. – Liability Waiver * is a waiver of Economy Rent A Car’s right to charge the Renter or Renters for damages to third parties during the rental period and is required unless the Renters can provide written proof that their personal insurance will provide acceptable coverage in Crete Greece during the rental period. It also reduces customers legal expenses to zero. L.W. limits charges for damages for injuries and third party properties to minimum amount. L.W. charges are: from EUR 7.00 to EUR 26.00 daily according to car group..Glass and tire protection EUR5 daily.P.A.I. personal accident insurance EUR5 daily. Extended Roadside Assistance(ERA) protects against having to pay recovery charges for call outs where you are at fault e.g key locking, empty battery,flat tire assistance EUR3daily. Special Roadside Assistance-Tow Track for any breakdown or damage EUR5daily. Value cover reduces your financial responsibility for damage to windscreens, tires and glass at zero EUR 8daily.

  •   No-Shows

    If you fail to pick up the vehicle at the booked time and date or notify us of cancellation before the rental is booked to start48 hours prior to your pick up time, this will be treated as a no-show. If you cannot pick up the vehicle due to insufficient documentation or because your credit card is not valid or accepted by our bank or does not hold sufficient funds to cover the deposit, this is also treated as a no-show.Please keep in mind that fees may apply.

  •   One-Way

    A rental is considered One-Way if you return the vehicle to any location other than the one you picked it up from. Usual one-way rental cost Heraklion airport to Chania airport costs 40euro but differs according to pick up point-car make and return place in Chania

  •   Other

    You are responsible if the key(s) are lost or damaged and due to pay a penalty fee to our agent. Please keep in mind that if you do not return the keys to us when the car is stolen, your insurance is deemed void and you might be held responsible for the full value of the vehicle. It is important to keep an eye on the keys as it is impossible to steal some newer models without them. In order not to direct any potential thieves to the details of your rental vehicle, it is highly recommended that you take all rental tags off the key(s) and keep them in the glove box until returning the car. Let it be noted that key(s) refer to all types of keys and key-cards.

  •   Payment

    The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard.Debit cards are accepted as a method of payment but cannot be used for deposit pre-authorization.The currency you will be charged in locally is Euro.

  •   Taxes and Fees

    One-Way Fee – this fee is only charged for **One-Way rentals. Please see the One-Way Rentals sections for details. **Out of Hours Fee – you will only be charged this fee if you want to book your rental outside our regular opening hours. **Fuel charges – please see the Refueling Fees section for details on the fees that apply. **Extra service fees – if you wish to use special services that may be offered by the Supplier, such as delivering the rental vehicle to a location of your choice, additional charges normally apply. **Penalty fees – if you break any rules stipulated in the Rental Agreement, (e.g. drive the rental vehicle outside permitted areas-off road-on beaches etc, return the vehicle dirty, etc.) the Supplier may charge applicable penalty fees.
